Beginning Knitting Debbie Carpenter
Two 2-hour classes. Mondays, 5:00 – 7:00

Learn how to knit during the first class, and come back for follow up and more techniques at the second class. You will learn the four basics of knitting: the knit stitch, the purl stitch, cast on, and bind off (plus a couple other neat tricks!). There will be lots of time to practice in class so you will learn to correct mistakes as you go, and will return home to knit confidently. See materials list.

Knitted Baby Sweater Nancy Bjerke
Four 1-hour classes. Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00
June 10, 17, 24, July 8
Nancy will teach you how to knit a classic cardigan baby sweater. This class is for beginner students who have some knitting under their belt and are ready to learn some new skills. Button bands, 3 needle bind off, picking up stitches and so on. Knit this sweater for that new baby in your life, or just to learn how a sweater is constructed. See materials list.

Hand Knit Socks Nancy Bjerke
Two 2-hour classes
Thursdays 5:00 - 7:00
Session 1: May 19, 26
Session 2: August 18, 25
Prerequisite: Intermediate, with a mastery basics of knitting (k, p, co, bo,
inc, dec.) Experience with knitting in the round is helpful, but not required.
Join Nancy to make a classic sock, in baby size. You'll learn all the techniques required for all sizes of socks. you will leave this class after making baby socks, ready to make the adult size socks. See materials list.

Elizabeth Zimmerman Study and Knit Along
1st and 3rd Thursday each month, 2 hours

We have been having so much fun in this group! We have made the Rib Warmer, Baby Surprise, Shawls and Hats. This summer, some of us are knitting the round yoke sweater, and others are making the Pi Shawl. If interested in joining this fun and creative group, call Nancy at the shop to sign up!
