Beginning Spinning On a Spinning Wheel Yvonne Madsen
Two 3-hour classes. Sundays 12:00 - 3:00

For the very beginning spinner. You will make your own
two and three ply yarn using wool roving. Yvonne is a
wonderful enthusiastic spinner, and a great patient teacher to
learn spinning from! Use your own wheel or arrange for
the use of a Shop wheel. Materials Fee to Teacher: $15.00

Novelty Spinning I Margaret Magic
One 3-hour class. Thursday 1:00 - 4:00

Prerequisite: Must know the basics of spinning and have a wheel in
good working order.
We will explore many plying techniques that can be used for novelty
yarns. Slub, thick, and thin, pigtail, bump, core spinning and boucle'.
See supply list plus material fee, which will depend of the number of students in the class.

Novelty Spinning II Margaret Magic
One 3-hour class. Thursday 1:00 - 4:00
October 23
Prerequisite: Must know the basics of spinning and have a wheel in
good working order.
A walk on the wild side! We will use a drum carder to
make many types of inclusion yarns. You will learn how to
make crescents and nubs, spin with paper and cloth, tinsel,
and whatever else you want to try. Core spinning and caged
yarn will be covered as well. If you have your own drum
carder, please bring. See supply list plus material fee,
which will depend of the number of students in the class.

Drop Spindle - Beginning Spindling Nancy Bjerke
One 2.5-hour class.
Session 1: Friday, October 17, 3:00 - 5:30
Session 2: Saturday, November 22, 10:00 - 12:30
Nancy will teach you how to spin and ply on a drop
spindle. Take a drop spindle with you anywhere and spin
yarn for your knitting and weaving projects. Nancy loves to
drop spindle anywhere at anytime, and will love to share
her knowledge with you about top whorl spindling. See
