Schacht Cranbrook Loom
 The Cranbrook loom is internationally recognized for its strength, balance and superb craftsmanship. This loom was originally designed over 60 years ago by Loja Saarinen, the founder of the waving program at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
An exclusive innovation of the Cranbrook loom is the breast and back beam made of powder coated tubular steel, providing added rigidity and better protection for the warp. The octoganal warp and cloth beams are 16.5 inches in circumference, ensuring even tension across. Both beams have canvas aprons.
The cloth beam advance lever is on the inside of the loom frame so the weaver can advance the warp from the front of the loom. The overhead adjustable beater allows a firm beat for rugs. Texsolv loop cords are permanently installed on the treadles and may be tied to upper and lower lams.
Optional accessories include a worm gear, sectional beam, double back beam, suspended tool shelf and tension box rail. Bench sold separately.
